I’ve just been given a rush job. I will be cutting in FCP 7 but it will be onlined in Premiere Pro CC. The client has shot on C300 and 5D.

I’m wondering what would be the best format for editing. I would usually go ProRes but I’m unsure how friendly that is for Premiere. The Adobe website says that Premiere CC works with ProRes but the client didn’t seem too sure.

    I have never used Premiere.

Will ProRes work? Can anyone suggest a better format?

    Thanks

    Hi Alison,

who is doing the conform and grade? I would ask them first about their preferred format and quality. Also is there the possibility you can work offinline in Pro Res and Upres at the end for the grade? Or are you working with your final resolution in the edit?

    Cheers,
    Christine
