Sam Matthews

I am a screen editor with a passion for motion design and colour grading. Having worked at KOJO since 2008, I have developed a wide range of editing techniques from cutting high-impact music videos and showreels, as well as calmly-tempered drama shorts and documentaries. I have edited TV campaigns across the spectrum, and my corporate clients include Mitsubishi, BHP Billiton and Santos. I have also worked in the DI process of several feature films including Scott Hicks' 'The Lucky One'. Operating videotape machines at AFL matches for goal replays on stadium screens has taught me to cut fast and under pressure.

This year I have taken the role of online artist / colourist in the children's TV series, Sam Fox: Extreme Adventures. Last year I edited Muddied Waters, a political TV documentary, and in 2011 I cut a docu-drama about virologist and environmentalist Frank Fenner. In 2010, I co-edited the Hilltop Hoods' live concert / zombie feature "Parade of the Dead".
