Lawrence Silvestrin ASE

Lawrie has worked as a drama and documentary picture and sound editor and post production supervisor for almost thirty years. During that time he has been nominated for six Australian Film Institute (now AACTA) Best Editing Awards. Many of the films he has edited have gone on to win awards all over the world.

Lawrie is currently editing SERANGOON ROAD, a ten part drama series for ABC and HBO Asia.

His documentary credits include JANDAMARRA’S WAR, winner of the 2011 AACTA Award for Best Documentary Under One Hour. That year he also edited LEAKY BOAT (which was also nominated for a 2011 AACTA Award for Best Documentary Under One Hour and Best Editing in a Documentary). In the 2012 AACTA Awards three films that Lawrie edited were also nominated for awards. SINGAPORE 1942 was nominated for Best Doco Series, THE MAN WHO JUMPED was nominated for Best Doco Under One Hour (Lawrie was also Co-Writer of this film) and CHATEAU CHUNDER was nominated for Best Editing in a Documentary.
