Deborah Peart ASE

Deborah Peart began her career in 1996. For 9 years she worked as both an assistant editor and post production supervisor on some of the countries most prolific television productions, including State Coroner, Marking Time, R.A.N and the sci-fi cult classic Farscape for the Jim Henson Company.

In 2005 she edited her first series, The Surgeon for producer John Edwards and since then has steadily built a swag of editing credits on shows such as Dangerous, :30 Seconds, SLiDE, The Straits and Puberty Blues. Deb has also been one of the two core editors on the acclaimed Underbelly series, editing over 25 episodes and three telemovie spin offs.

She has been nominated for five Australian Screen Editors Awards and won in 2009 for her work on Underbelly: A Tale of Two Cities. Her work has seen her collaborate with some of Australia’s most sought after directors including Peter Andrikidis, Glendyn Ivin, Cherie Nowlan, Shawn Seet and Tony Tilse.
