Hilary enjoys cutting all kinds of factual and documentary films and programs - especially feature documentaries.

Hilary’s feature documentary editing credits include Night Parrot Stories , directed by Rob Nugent (Official selection at the Sydney Film Festival 2016) and Suzy and the Simple Man, directed by Ian Darling and Jon and Suzan Muir (Official selection at the Sydney Film Festival 2016 and Melbourne International Film Festival 2016) and the award winning A Common Purpose, directed by Mitzi Goldman.

Hilary’s television editing credits include The Truth About Racism (Mindful Media for SBS), Life on the Reef (Northern Pictures for ABC), Once Upon a Time in Punchbowl (Northern Pictures for SBS), Move It Mob Style (ABC3 and NITV) and Emergency Bikers for Channel 5 in the UK.

Hilary is also an educator with the Documentary Australia Foundation’s Youth and Education Program engaging and supporting students and teachers to make the most out of documentaries and documentary film making across all areas of the primary and secondary school curriculums.
Prior to concentrating her career on editing, Hilary enjoyed many years making short films showcasing the work of community groups and performing arts practitioners and creating informational films for independent travellers. This stems from her work as Stage Manager of events and theatrical productions both in Australia and the UK.

Based in the Southern Highlands of NSW, Hilary has a wonderfully supportive and creative partner who is also a great cook, two amazing young daughters and she hopes to have some chickens soon too.
