When Hans opened Spectrum Films it was right at the vanguard of Australia's new film industry. Hans not only looked after the Directors and Producers of many Australian films, but essentially he created a home for Editors. A place for creative work and a community for filmmakers to artistically and socially engage. He nurtured talent and supported us all. In 2004, The Australian Screen Editors Guild honoured Hans with a Lifetime Membership for services to Editing in Australia. Sadly that lifetime was too short.
