extraordinary young woman and her fight for the freedom and dignity of
her young family in the penal colony of Botany Bay, on the open seas of
the Pacific Ocean, in the fine homes of Timor and in the courts of
Georgian England. With a budget in excess of $15 million, THE
INCREDIBLE JOURNEY OF MARY BRYANT is the largest television mini-series
ever made in Australia. The mini-series was shot over 12 weeks in 22
locations. It was edited by Henry Dangar ASE.
THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY OF MARY BRYANT is a Film Finance Corporation of
Australia Limited presentation of a Screentime Production, in
association with Granada, Power and the New South Wales Film and
Television Office and will screen on Network TEN in Australia on the
30th and 31st of October from 8:30pm.
The team behind THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY OF MARY BRYANT is a creative
powerhouse with director Peter Andrikidis (Jessica and My Husband My
Killer)) and producers Andrew Benson (Hornblower) and Greg Haddrick
(MDA). It stars Romola Garai in the title role and the cast also
includes Alex O'Lachlan, Jack Davenport, Stephan Curry, Tony Martin,
David Field, Garry McDonald and Sam Neill.
THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY OF MARY BRYANT airs on channel ten on Sunday
30th October and concludes on Monday the 31st October from 8:30pm.
