The guild would like to bid farewell to Barb Bedford who passed away
in December. Barb was with the guild from the outset, being one of our
great founding members. She was there at the Harold Park Hotel and was
Guild treasurer for our first two years. Barb was the Head of Editing
at the ABC and retired a few years ago. On behalf of the guild and our
members, we say farewell......
In front of a packed house at the Vanguard Jazz and Blues Club,
industry legend Nicholas Beauman ASE celebrated winning his first ever
editing award, after a forty-six year career, for “Unfolding Florence”.
The adoring crowd, including Guest Speaker Anthony Buckley AM and
director Gillian Armstrong joined in the raucous applause.
