FCP remove attributes dont work

I have found that trying to remove attributes from a clip or a sequence (a very handy feature in FCP 3) doesnt seem to work in FCP 4 anyone had the same issue.

Hey, Christian.
Remove atributes has been working very well for me in FCP4.
When you say "sequence" do you mean selecting the sequnce in the browser?
I've never done that, didn't know you could.
Thanks to the new keyboard lay-out window, I discovered that OPTION APPLE V opens the remove attributes window. (and I thought I knew FCP!)
I've been using that exclusivley in FCP4, FWIW.

What sort of problems have you had?

Still in Amsterdam,
still having fun.
See you whenc I get back,
Nick

Attributes and stuff

Hey Nick

The system I was working on last week (not my own) wouldn't actually remove the attributes when I checked the relevant boxes, Specifically with filters and basic motion (was using the blackmagic codec-which may be a factor). Good to here is was working fine for you.

When I say sequence I meen block removing attributes from multiple shots, not actually selecting the seq in the browser.

Hope your having a great trip.

C

Wel, back from the 'Dam now.
I was NOT-working, which is worth doing every now and then.
It must have been effective, as when I got back I couldn't remember how my own system worked!

BTW, I only just noticed these mesages.
Don't replies get e-mailed direct?

If you have Email Notification turned ON in your control panel, yes you should get an email when a thread you have participated in is added to.

But you only get one, until you visit the website again.

Alternatively you can SUBSCRIBE to a thread or a forum, and you will get email updates for each addition ... I think ... still fine-tuning this sort of thingy.

Cheers

FC4 does sometimes have issues with remove attributes. I find it on my powerbook after I've just given it a thrashing. A restart fixes that.
As an aside you can paste, remove attributes onto a sequence that is nested in another. Just copy the setttings from a clip then right click onto the nested sequnece to access the contextual menu.
