Two ASE members took out the editing prize at the 26th annual Art Directors and Writers Association Advertising Awards.
Bernard Garry from Karl Marks for his fabulous work on the Nike Australia spot ’Keep the Ball alive’.
And Andrew Thompson from Guillotine for his superb visual feast for Toyota with ’Snake Bite’. Both were wonderful examples of tight stylish editing and well deserved their win.
It was a glitzy affair held at the Randwick racecourse last Friday night for nearly 1000 advertising punters.
The night was themed as ’alchemy’ – the process of turning base elements to gold.
A fantasy medieval forest land was created, complete with magical illusions and spells cast by emcee Shaun Micallef.
Followed by an after party which I believe is still going for some.
Well done boys.
