Hi, i am in need of some new speakers for my edit suite. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on brands to buy, brands to not buy etc.
I have up to about $500.
Cheers,
matt

i'm not sure what that will buy. If you approach your local broadcast supplier, they might come to the party. contact a few professional outfitters, give them the skinny and then go online and see what others say about the equipment. Don't go with the first thing you see because it fits your budget. There's enough places willing to make a buck, even only 500, so play it cagey and do your McHomework.
I have a set of yamahas, I got them off hdigital. they seem nice but I don't recall the price.

Hey Matt
I don't know if you've been up to Kosmic but they have some very knowledgable staff - channel Ten often deals with them for stuff like this. It's also a good place to get to really hear what the speakers sound like. See if you can get Enzo to help you.
