I recently decided to hop down to Melly as a part of my recovery from the last teleseries I tinkered with, and thought it would be great to meet up with Melbourne editors while I was there. I had a wonderful time meeting up with other ASE members, and felt it extended my understanding of the cohesion and community that ASE has to offer. I think that the website has done a lot to help us have a sense of community, but it was really great to be able to take it one step further and actually have a face to face chat with other ASE members.
So if you are going to other areas in Australia for business or pleasure, touch base with some editors in the area, and see if you can manage to meet up - it is very worthwhile!! Use your website to find some contacts, and get out there and boogie!! Or whatever. Maybe don't boogie. But I think that it's really fantastic.
