Does anyone know of any 16mm or 35mm pic syncs that might be for sale super cheap? No matter what state of repair they may be in....

Also is anyone aware of places or people in Vic. that have a mag recorder, and dont charge too much.

Hi, Ian

If you're in Vic, maybe you should try Tim Lewis at the Joinery.
He has a magnatech that he's stil using.
Did you want to buy one, or get some transfers??

I have some Picsyncs in storage here in Sydney. A little green one, and a larger blue one.
In fact, I've got a whole 16m cuting room in storage that's about to be... er, "relocated"
To the tip possibly.

What are you planning?

Hi Matthew, Nick, Ian

I'm trying to get hold of a 16mm pic sync asap, preferably just to hire for a week or so. I phoned Facilities at Screen Australia (formerly Film Australia) and they said they had no pic syncs at all!

Can anyone help? I'm in Sydney, Nick, if there's any chance of getting one from you.

Cheers
Tim

No pic syncs at Film Australia? That might be the saddest thing I ever heard!

Well you might be a bit late. I did try to offload some a few weeks back, but no takers.

I consigned my old Lightworks boxes to the scrap-heap last week, too. But I kept the consoles for old time's sake.

By the way Daz, Film Australia is no more. Ended. Gone. Gazoop.

What a shame, Matt. If I'd known you were dumping them I might have made an offer for a Lightworks case. It would be fun to build a newer system inside one. I just love that Trinite metallic grey finish.

But like you, I have the controller and a very original series one mouse mat from my system (which was serial number 10, I think - very low number anyway).
