Fiona just discovered that a mobile phone within a couple of feet of a Lacie drive can turn it off when a call comes in.

Just picked up on this posting Matt. There's been a lot of discussion recently over at the Avid user forums about the unreliability of LaCie external firewire drives generally - especially the larger sizes. Maybe they need to all turn off their mobies!
