Saw this on the Avid-L2. Fantastic quality for an internet trailer.

Wow, that's very pretty. Love those wings!

Check out this other H.264 showreel from Cube - a French animation company. The size is great for how fast it dls - they also have a nice 3d tours section.

Great download speed and outstanding quality - I love H.264! But why do all design company showreels looka nd sound the same?

I guess for the same reason that all sitcoms look and sound the same? :)

I'd love to see some great showreels - have you seen any in your travels?

I showed that trailer to an Xmen fan friend of mine last night and he was disgusted at me for only caring about how beautiful the compression was.

Almost as bad as the two (30 something) guys at a stall at the markets last week fighting about whether Maximus Prime would beat He-Man in a fight...

I love the way that on the gorgeous, shiny X there is a scratch! That's artistry.

I see quite a lot of design company showreels: it seems a shame to me that they are all cut very fast to a ubiquitous boppy soundtrack. You don't really have time to get the effect of the graphic - apart from "Wow". It doesn't work so well when there's lots of "Wow's" in a row: "Wow, wow, wow, wonder what's for lunch, wow, wow, is this over yet?, wow, wow
