In joining the ASE you will join a community of editors and assistant editors, supporting the post production industry.
The Australian Screen Editors guild offers its members a range of benefits which include a quarterly newsletter, access to ASE training sessions, exclusive access to Editsearch (an ASE web-based job bulletin board), discounts at ASE-sponsored events as well as social events.
A recent initiative, exclusive to ASE members is a mentorship scheme. Within this scheme assistants, as well as editors, can be matched with a more senior member of the industry. This scheme allows editors and assistant editors to benefit from the knowledge and skills of editors more experienced than themselves and has thus far been extremely successful for all those involved.
ASE members are eligible for accreditation.
ASE membership also makes you part of a social community. No matter where you live, due to the forum functions available on this site you can be an extremely active member! The ASE forums give you access to a wide range of editors from varying backgrounds. Our members ask for advice, discuss their current projects, debate the nature of the industry - as well as organise social events.

Please Note from July 1st, 2006 Membership fees have increased:

Full Members - $132/yr - incl. GST
Associate Members - $66/yr - incl. GST
Student Members - $33/yr - incl. GST

This will be refelected on the Online Membership Application Form, as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience.
