The Australian Screen Editors Guild Aims and Objectives:

The ASE aims for the pursuit and recognition of excellence in the arts, sciences and technology of production, specifically with an emphasis on post-production, for motion picture film, television, multi-media and other forms of new technology. And the promotion, improvement and protection of the role and rights of an editor or assistant as an essential and significant contributor to all such productions.
